Text Messaging (SMS)
Raceday Text Messages
If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages, Raceday may send you account, transactional, verification, security, and event-related text messages.
These messages may include one-time passcodes, account verification messages, registration confirmations, order confirmations, waiver reminders, membership notices, account and security alerts, and event-day information for events in which you are registered.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a message or, where available, by changing your notification preferences within your Raceday Account Settings. Reply HELP for assistance or contact Raceday Support.
Promoter and Event Organizer Text Messages
Raceday also provides communication tools that may allow a Promoter or Event Organizer to send text messages to individuals associated with its organization, memberships, registrations, classes, divisions, or events.
When a Promoter or Event Organizer sends a message through Raceday, that communication is being sent on behalf of that organization. The Promoter or Event Organizer is responsible for ensuring that it has the appropriate permission or consent to send communications to its recipients and for using Raceday's communication tools in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Raceday policies.
Messages sent by Promoters or Event Organizers may include event schedules, cancellations, delays, staging instructions, race-day information, registration reminders, membership information, safety notices, operational updates, and other communications associated with an organization or event in which you participate.
Your consent to receive messages directly from Raceday does not automatically constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing or promotional messages from a Promoter or Event Organizer. Likewise, consent provided to a particular Promoter or Event Organizer does not automatically constitute consent to receive unrelated promotional messages from Raceday or another organization.
Where technically available, replying STOP to an SMS message will opt you out of the applicable messaging program or sending number. You may also contact the applicable Promoter, Event Organizer, or Raceday Support for assistance with communication preferences.
SMS Privacy and Information Sharing
Raceday does not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Information sharing described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties except Service Providers used solely as necessary to provide, route, process, or deliver the text messaging services that you have requested or consented to receive.
Raceday may retain records relating to SMS consent, including the date, time, source, method, and scope of consent, as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, document compliance, manage communication preferences, and honor opt-out requests.
When a Promoter or Event Organizer uses Raceday to send text messages, Raceday may process recipient phone numbers, consent information, communication preferences, message delivery information, and related records on behalf of that organization for purposes of providing the messaging service.
